Art Start is proud to offer college scholarships to select NYC public and charter school seniors graduating in 2026 with an interest in the creative arts.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:

• Be a New York City high school senior graduating in Spring or Summer 2026
  
• Be an NYC resident attending a NYC public or charter high school
  
• Be accepted to an accredited post-secondary institution, including a college, vocational, technical, or trade school
  
• Be pursuing a degree or certification
  
• Demonstrate financial need
  
• Have an interest in the arts (you do not need to pursue an arts-related degree)

SCHOLARSHIP FEATURES

• Awards of up to $5,000 per year for students enrolled full-time, for up to four years (up to $20,000 total)
  
• Funds can be used for tuition, fees, and other educational expenses, such as books, computers, and required supplies
  
• May also be used for additional college-related costs, including room and board, travel, study abroad programs, and extracurricular activities

APPLICATION PROCESS

• February 28th: Interest Forms are due
• February 6th: Application opens
  • Art Start will send the application link to those who have completed the Interest Form and meet eligibility requirements
• March 27th: Application closes
• May 2026: Scholarship recipients are announced
